Prayer is a way to communicate with yourFather in Heaven. Pray daily and sincerely.
The Power of Prayer
HOW TO PRAY
The four steps of prayer include:
1. "Our Father in Heaven"
2. "I thank thee...." [Thank Him for specific blessings and things you are thankful for]
3. "I ask thee..."[Ask for His help. Plead with Him. Confide in Him. Talk with Him.
Pour out your heart to Him. Tell Him how you really feel. Council with Him in allyour doings on any topic. Ask Him to guide and direct you. Ask Him to bless and
help other people and mention their specific names. Be completely honest and sincere
with Him]
4. "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
"All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
(Matthew 21:22)
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe
that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." (Mark 11:24)
"With God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)
Pray always, that you may come off conqueror; yea, that you may conquer Satan, and that you may escape the hands of the servants of Satan that do uphold his work.
IRONMAN is a statement of excellence, passion, and commitment. It is a test of physical toughness and mental strength. IRONMAN is about persevering, enduring and being a part of something larger than ourselves. It shows the heights that can be achieved when we push beyond our boundaries and go the distance to earn the title... IRONMAN!
Jesus appeared in Jerusalem after His resurrection.
As recorded in the Bible, New Testament
He also appeared in America after His resurrection.
As recorded in The Book of Mormon
7 Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him.
8 And it came to pass, as they understood they cast their eyes up again towards heaven; and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white robe; and he came down and stood in the midst of them; and the eyes of the whole multitude were turned upon him, and they durst not open their mouths, even one to another, and wist not what it meant, for they thought it was an angel that had appeared unto them.
9 And it came to pass that he stretched forth his hand and spake unto the people, saying:
10 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
13 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
16 And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying:
17 Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did worship him.
"I know the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly."
"I also know that The Book of Mormon is TRUE, that it is definitely the word of God." You can gain a testimony of its truthfulness by reading it and praying and asking God if it is true. You will receive a sure witness that the book is true by the power of the Holy Ghost, as the Book of Mormon prophet, Moroni, promised:
Moroni 10:4-5
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
