As many of you know, our governor of california. Has decided to make a brand new football stadium. How is that? I thought that the state has no money to pay teachers. His solution was letting go of many teachers from many schools including ours. Many teachers have no jobs now and you are telling me that this was done to build a new football stadium. I understand that by building this stadium in the city of Industry, that will create new jobs. My question is at what cost? I believe that by cutting money from schools is not right. Our parents pay taxes for us to go to school andnow his solutions are affecting our learning. What do you guys think.

It isn't taking money away from the peoples taxes. The owner who is doing this is rich and going to pay all of the taxes himself. The gov. never said he was going to use the money from the state or the teachers. Its a great chance for LA to get a new team and for it to get new people and ne jobs. Its the best thing that can happen by 2010-2011.

I agree with you. The economy is going down and a lot of people lost their jobs, and for what? a football stadium Do we need it? no. What people need is their job. I believe this is not a necessary thing to be spending money on. And out families do pay taxes for us to go school, not such things as this.

I THINK THAT BUIDING A NEW STEDIAM IS A GOOD THING BUT I THINK TAKING THE JOBS AWAY FROM THE TEACHERS IS NOT RIGHT JUST FR A NEW STEDIAM. i think that this is a real bad thing because that is true that our parents pay taxes so that we get the education we need. and now the government has a solution to make a new football field that is just telling us that we should not go to school because we can always just go work at the football field were you really don't need that much education. that is the problem with our government it does not fear us we fear them. but their is no reason to fear them because we have the power to get them out of office but we don't that is also the problem.

The same as him i think it was a bad idea the good thing from this is being able to have more jobs. but bedsides that it as a bad idea because it cost us a lot of teachers to leave now our education is kind of limited because we have less teachers.

I don't agree with this because out economy is not that good right now and out governor is trying to build a foot stadium, my thoughts on this is that he wasting to much money and he's gonna be stealing money from out schools and thats not right.

Well, this wouldn't be the first time that our governor has done something questionable. Plenty of money, state money, has been used to cover personal expenses of the governor. California's economy is a mess. We are in debt, and it would seem that we will continue to sink. Solution? Learn to swim. It's obvious that the governor isn't going to do much for our benefit, so we have to learn to budget, to stretch every dollar we earn to be able to face whatever is coming.

What Elvin is saying is really true. How come they are letting go of to many teachers because they have no money to pay the but they sure have money to build a new football stadium. But i think that this is really weird how could they have money for a new stadium but not to pay teachers when education is more important than anything else...daisy pd2

Well i agree with Elvin. Its not right to cut teachers just to build a stadium. They should put higher taxes on alcohol and tobacco instead of just cutting teachers job. Our parents pay taxes for us to get a good education and they just cut teachers? NOw the classes are more full.

I think that it is good that we have a new football stadium. But I think that this was a very bad idea because a lot of teachers have no jobs now. They shouldnt be kicking people out only because they want to make something new and better. I think that they should wait until they have more money so they can do that. Teachers dont have no jobs now, but we have a new stadium, that doesnt sound very good.

It's pretty cool that they're building a new stadium,but i don't understand where the money is coming from. I agree with Elvin and Silva "our parents pay taxes so that we get the education we need" and with teachers being removed our classes are like full since there isn't enough teachers. And I'm confuse,about the stadium creating new jobs, i find that hard to believe.

that is right they say we have no money so they cut teachers from jobs that is not right then they want to build a new stadium that is not right. they should not make a new stadium. i think that is not right making another stadium. they should not build one. what does he not care about our eduction?? that effecting our learning. that not right they should give that money for our education. that not right to make a new stadium. because of him many teachers lost they job cause of money problem and now a new stadium. I SAY NO!!!!! with that money we could have a better education for they ones that care about the future. thats not right, so i say NO TO NEW STADIUM!!!!

well, this is very true . Wouldn't the football field burn because it is all plastic ? Well, what he wrote is very true. And it is very sad. Almost every year school is getting harder because of these cuts. So take care of your education . You are going to need it all your life.
