John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ in the River Jordan.
Matthew 3:13-17
13 ¶Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Jesus was baptized to:
1 Fulfill all righteousness
2 Humble himself before His Father
3. Witness unto His Father that He would obey all His commandments.
4. Show us the perfect example for us to follow, to also be baptized by someone having proper authority to enter into the strait and narrow path of righteous living in order to gain eternal life.

Develop Your Talent of Spirituality Through Prayer
Prayer is a way to communicate with your Father in Heaven. Pray daily and sincerely.
The four steps of prayer include:
1. Our Father in Heaven
2. I thank thee.... [Thank Him for specific blessings and things you are thankful for]
3. I ask thee....[Ask for His help. Plead with Him. Confide in Him. Talk with Him. Pour out your heart to Him. Tell Him how you really feel. Council with Him in all your doings on any topic. Ask Him to guide and direct you. Ask Him to bless and help other people and mention their specific names. Be completely honest and sincere with Him]
4. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
