The overall culture of HPHS is that most students do not work hard, are rather lethargic, and do not set high-achieving goals. The HPHS community of students needs to become more enthusiastic about studying, learning, being scholars and academic champions, and always choosing the right. Most students are wonderful young men and young women, but how can we change the HPHS culture so that students will work hard, work smart, work together, and always Choose the Right?

We would have a better education and be willing to do work if we had better teachers that actually cared about students.We are all mostly smart and we are willing to work.But their is no teacher that is willing to give an effort to it because they are lazy.Either way we do care for our education and we can work if we have the right encouragement.

I think that is not true. Students at HPHS are the smartest students. I think for the majority of the students they are all Academic Champions.

I think that this is true, not that many students are working hard. Many students are not trying to work hard. I think that the way we can change the way they work is by showing more support to the students who need it. That is what I think they should do.

I guess what this statement is trying tell me is that most people from HP dont choose the right, most students like slacking off and geting bad grades because there lazy. If you choose the right you'll be a new person. You'll flip your life around and start geting perfect grades. Its that easy people all you gotta remember is choose the right, then you'll be a very successful person in life.

Yeah, i agree with this paragraph.Some students dont take the advantage even though it might hit them right in the face.They need some motivation or something.Which they will start realizing they have to do good.Education is the only way to succeed unless you get notice by your singing or dancing by a producer.Now thats rare,education is the way to succeed.And remeber the river is wild.

I feel that this can all be done with the help of our parents. Parents need to be involved more in student's lives. Some parents aren't really there for their kids. Sometimes they were never there. I think that if parents were more involved in our classmates lives, then we will be guided in the right path.

I agree with what this says. Many students at H.P.H.S are not so intrested in school and they don't CHOOSE THE RIGHT!. I beleive its really hard to get most of the students to work hard, work smart and work together because at the end they'll just do what they want. But we could still try and i beleive the only way for them to like school is to give them something to look foward to. So that way they will come to school do work and be academic champions.

The sad reality is that although there are students who do try their very best in school, most students do not. Perhaps their view of the world is far too unrealistic; partly due to the fact that they may not have had a taste of the real world, or even better yet, true success. It might simply be attributed to motivation or the belief that there is nothing more they can do. We cannot hope to change everyone's views or goals systematically. Students' opinions and goals have been formed over time, thus, it will take time to help them change. If we surround students with an atmosphere that imbues them with the desire to succeed, eventually, more students will endeavor to succeed.

I THINK THAT YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD ALL THE TIME. IF MORE PEOPLE START TO WORK HARD THEN EVERYONE WILL FOLLOW. THEIR ARE SOME STUDENTS THAT DON'T LIKE TO WORK HARD SO WE NEED TO MOTIVATE THEM. STUDENTS NOW A DAYS DONT HAVE HIGH GOALS THEIR FOR OUR CULTURE AND OUR CLASSES AND STUDENTS ARE NOT GET AS EDUCATED AS BEFORE BECAUSE THEY ARE LACKING OF AND NOT PAYING ATTENTION IN THEIR CLASSES THEY ARE LACKING OF. yes i think that many students at hp are not working really hard and there is many students dropping out of school. Also less percentage of students are making it to graduation...we need to work harder and have students think about their education and not dropping out...daisy pd2
